What's it about!
It is all about Nizam jewels and a treasure hunt. Three thieves - MS, Ali, Venu Madhav - have plan for a looted treasure but the plan is torn into three parts. Later they move on in their lives. The third generation of these thieves Krishna (Naresh), Aishwarya (Tanya) and others start looking for third part when Don (Venumadhav), who is also grandson of the one of the thieves, enters the scene. The rest of the movie is about hunting for the treasure.
Analysis
Dongala Bandi is supposed to be comedy movie. Only when we are into the 15 minutes of the movie, we face the reality that it is actually a very 'tragedy' - a pain in the neck for the audiences who sat through the entire fiasco. What a bore! An illogical and silly flick to the core! Writer turned director Satish Vegesna has showed that how amateurish he is as director
Not a single scene evokes a hearty laugh. Nor a single comedian including the so-called 'comedy' hero Allari Naresh gives relief from its pathetic narration. Better avoid it. Some scenes like a spoof on Dhoom are okay but they are only sporadic.
Performances
Allari Naresh has done the same act that he has been doing in all the 'donga' movies. There is nothing special in his performances. The less said about other actors the better. Technically too it is so substandard.
Bottom-line!
Dongala Bandi can actually give 'tragic experiences' for those who enter into the theatres thinking that is a comedy movie. An amateurish flick from writer turned director Vegesna Satish. Allari Naresh should stay away from selecting these kind of movies if he wants to cash in on the image of a salable hero that he has got.
